The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board Charitable Foundation:

  • Inspires hope and fosters resilience in individuals impacted by mental illness, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities.

  • Assists individuals served by the H-NNCSB with overcoming obstacles to treatment and recovery.

  • Focuses on services that are unfunded or underfunded and creates a resource to meet the needs of individuals who require targeted personal supports to maintain their stability in the community.

About the H-NNCSB Charitable Foundation

The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board Charitable Foundation was established in 2023 to support the mission of the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB). The foundation was established with initial funding through a generous donation by the late Sheriff BJ Roberts of Hampton — a long-term H-NNCSB Board Member and champion of behavioral healthcare needs within the community.

With the generous support of individuals, organizations, corporations, businesses, faith-based communities, and other community partners, the H-NNCSB has been able to provide the following for the individuals we serve:

  • Food

  • Clothing

  • Temporary Shelter

  • Support with Utility Bills

  • School Supplies

  • Diapers

  • Bed Linen

  • Transportation

  • Dental and Medical Care Supports

These are a few examples of the impact that can be made when the community works together to meet the needs of our most vulnerable citizens. The H-NNCSB Charitable Foundation is the community’s opportunity to enhance that support to the individuals and families we serve.
